Urban design and Master Planning  by Rafael Moneo Studio

HLA collaborated with Rafael Moneo + Moneo-Brock in the landscape design for this first stage of Santo Domingo’s core area regeneration.  The main plaza of the city has been completely redesinged making it accessible, legible memorable.   Total redefinition of the grading and finish floor elevations, stairs, etc. has created new terraces and miradors under the shade of trees or royal palm tree orchards.  The plaza connects back to the city and to the river.
