Climate change is when the Earth's temperature gets warmer. This happens because of gases in the air called greenhouse gases. These gases come from things like cars, factories, and even cows! They trap heat from the sun, making our planet hotter.
Why Does Climate Change Matter?
Climate change affects our weather and the environment. It can make storms stronger, melt ice at the North and South Poles, and make it harder for animals to find food. We need to take care of our planet so that everyone, including animals, has a safe place to live.
What Can You Do to Help?
There are many things you can do to help fight climate change:
- Use less electricity by turning off lights when you're not in the room.
- Walk, bike, or take the bus instead of always riding in a car.
- Plant trees and plants because they absorb greenhouse gases.
- Recycle paper, plastic, and cans so we can reuse them instead of making new ones.
- Tell your friends and family about climate change and how they can help, too!

You can have fun while learning about climate change! Visit museums, read books about nature and animals, and join clubs or groups that care about the environment. The more you learn, the more you can help protect our planet.
