Bolardos
HLA x Opticretos
Manufacturing Process
The bollards and modular concrete benches were produced in a controlled plant environment, where precision and consistency were fundamental. Through the use of automated fabrication processes, variations in color, texture, and structural performance were minimized, ensuring uniformity across all elements. This approach guaranteed durability and resistance, essential for high-traffic public environments such as the stadium surroundings.
Materials and Design
The design of both the bollards and the prefabricated benches responds to the need for robust, functional elements that integrate seamlessly with the architectural identity of the stadium. Clean geometries and controlled proportions were developed to provide clarity and order within the public realm.
In the case of the benches, modular concrete systems allowed for flexibility in configuration while maintaining a cohesive language. Custom molds were designed to achieve precise finishes and repeatable components, ensuring both efficiency in production and fidelity to the design intent.
Participation and Collaboration
Conceived as part of the broader urban strategy surrounding the stadium, the bollards and seating elements play a dual role: enhancing user experience while organizing circulation and defining space. The intervention balances performance and design, contributing to a safer, more structured, and legible public environment.
Through the use of high-quality prefabricated concrete, the project delivers a durable and coherent system of elements that supports the intensity of use associated with large-scale events, while reinforcing the identity of the site.
