Cemex 2024
Since 1991, this competition has recognized the best construction projects in Mexico and worldwide. This year, it received 355 national entries and a wide variety of projects from 17 countries. A jury of esteemed architects selected the winners from 23 national finalists and 43 international finalists.
The jury consisted of 10 renowned architects and engineers from Mexico, the United States, Costa Rica, Panama, Belgium, and Colombia.
Mexico Edition
Infrastructure- Gold Medal: UMG Guadalajara
- Silver Medal: Puente Verde
- Bronze Medal: Puente Atirantado
HLA was awarded the Silver Medal for the Puente Verde project, which represents a formal evolution from the city’s industrial origins. The design reflects the industrial heritage of Fundidora Park, reimagined as part of a contemporary Monterrey that looks toward a sustainable future.
